Tinea Versicolor

Tinea Versicolor

Tinea versicolor is a common yeast infection of the skin characterized by hypopigmented or hyperpigmented coalescing scaly macules and patches. The eruption is most common in summer months and usually develops in adolescents and young adults. Tinea versicolor can occur anywhere on the body, but is most commonly found on oil rich skin, such as the neck, shoulders, chest and back.
