Did you know one way to achieve young, vibrant looking skin is to feed it?  Research has shown certain foods can actually improve the appearance of your skin.  So next time you make your grocery list be sure to include these four items:

1. Green Tea- Green tea is a known antioxidant that helps sun damaged skin.

2. Olive Oil- Olive oil is one of the "good fats" that are essential to our everyday diet.  The fatty acids found in olive oil strengthen cell membranes and leaves skin looking radiant.

3. Walnuts- The omega-3 oils in walnuts provide for a younger-looking complexion.

4. Berries- Vitamins in berries help protect skin cells from damage.

Our licensed dermatologist are also available to help you with any of your skin, hair, or nail care needs.  If you have questions or concerns please feel free to call and schedule an appointment.  Our doctors can often see you the same day.

Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever (RMSF) is an infectious disease caused by Rickettsia rickettsii, a gram negative bacteria transmitted by Dermacentor variabilis, the American dog tick and by Dermacentor andersoni, the Rocky Mountain wood tick. RMSF is one of the most common tick-related infections in the USA, with the highest prevalence in North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Arkansas, South Carolina, Maryland and Virginia. Texas is the second most common state affected. RMSF is a curable disease if diagnosed and treated early, however it carries a high risk of fatality with late treatment and/or diagnosis.
