Chemical peels are a great way to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, reduce the signs of acne, and help improve discoloration of the skin.  While it has been proven that chemical peels work, the daunting idea of being out of commission for up to a week can really cause hesitation in most patients.

Fortunately patients have a variety of choices when it comes to what kind of peel they want to have, and the varying degree of strengths available allow aestheticians to control how deep a peel is before applying it.  In some cases aestheticians can perform "Red Carpet" chemical peels that only cause a patient's skin to redden slightly for a few hours.

Dermatological Association offers many different types of chemical peels.  Schedule a consultation with our licensed aesthetician today and ask  which chemical peel works best for your needs.

Parvo Virus

by   Rachel Gordon, MD

           Karan Sra, MD

Parvovirus, often called "parvo" or "Fifth disease", is a mild rash illness typically seen in children that is caused by Human Parvovirus B19. This virus only infects humans. Pets (dogs, cats) may receive a vaccination for "parvovirus," but these are animal parvoviruses that do not infect humans. Therefore, children cannot "catch" parvovirus from a pet dog or cat.
